Intermediate Retirement Planner
Job Summary:
Join the ranks of the USAA team and assist in securing the financial stability of numerous military personnel and their loved ones. In this role, you will assess members' retirement income requirements, recommend solutions, and provide expert financial advice to help them achieve their long-term goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Give attention to member inquiries from various communication channels, including inbound and outbound phone calls, and provide appropriate responses.
- Determine the retirement needs, financial situation, and objectives of customers to establish customized retirement income strategies tailored to their needs.
- Provide advice and recommendations for financial products and services based on your unique circumstances, and refer to solutions beyond the scope of traditional offerings.
- Plan for unexpected expenses, such as medical emergencies or job loss, by building an emergency fund. Aim to have at least three to six months' worth of living expenses saved to help you weather any financial storms.
- Collaborate with team members to address challenges and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED is a prerequisite for applying for this position.
- An active Group 1 Life & Health license provides job security, career growth opportunities, and a chance to make a difference in people's lives by offering them financial protection through insurance policies.
- The financial industry only considers individuals with valid FINRA 7 and Series 66 (or 63 & 65) licenses as active professionals.
- Candidates must possess a background of working in finance or sales for a minimum of a year to qualify for this job opening.
- Excelling at multitasking, analyzing, and communicating effectively.
- Satisfying regulatory demands and meeting background check qualifications is important.
