Job Summary of Local Route Delivery Driver:

Sysco is currently hiring to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products in the warehouse and preparing them for shipping to customer locations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment are crucial for success in this position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Local Route Delivery Driver:

• Interpret client demands and pick out products in alignment with their designated slot and characteristics
• Collect items from the available inventory and arrange them in the correct sequence on pallets for customer orders
• Attach labels to items and maneuver electric pallet jacks for transportation to the dock area for staging
• Show gentleness towards goods and report any impairment or complications to those in charge
• Engage in daily equipment verifications and contribute to the cleanliness of the facility when called upon
• Apply basic communication skills to interpret job directives and engage in teamwork with fellow staff members
• Follow all safety regulations and guidelines regarding food safety

Qualifications and Experience of Local Route Delivery Driver:

• Minimum age required is 18 years
• No prior expertise is mandatory for this role
• Possesses the capability to handle and relocate products weighing up to 100 pounds
• The need to be flexible in dealing with extreme temperatures and enduring prolonged periods of standing is crucial
• Skilled operator of electric pallet jacks and forklifts
• Experience in warehouse operations, the military, or physically demanding work can be beneficial
• Favor will be given to those with a proven track record of consistent work

Salary:
