Job Summary of Local Route Truck Driver:

Sysco is currently hiring to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products in the warehouse and preparing them for shipping to customer locations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment are crucial for success in this position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Local Route Truck Driver:

• Analyze client requests and opt for items according to their specified location and attributes
• Group items from the warehouse according to customer orders and stack them on pallets in the required sequence
• Label merchandise and utilize electric pallet jacks in moving them to the dock area for staging purposes
• Show carefulness in managing items and promptly inform supervisors of any damage or problems
• Perform daily equipment inspections and help with keeping the facility clean as necessary
• Apply core communication skills to interpret work instructions and actively participate in team collaboration
• Comply with all specified safety and food safety policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience of Local Route Truck Driver:

• Being at least 18 years of age is compulsory
• Candidates without prior experience are encouraged to apply
• Shows proficiency in transporting and lifting objects up to 100 pounds
• The requirement involves being adaptable to extreme temperatures and standing for extended periods
• Skilled operator of electric pallet jacks and forklifts
• Past involvement in warehouses, the armed forces, or physically active roles can offer valuable experience
• Favor will be given to those with a proven track record of consistent work

Salary:

Between $10.00 and $48.00 per hour is the salary range for this role, which can vary based on skills, experience, and other factors.
