Job Summary of Leader:

This position supports the daily operational performance of the facility by providing floor coverage, conducting preventative maintenance, and performing equipment repairs. Under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor or senior technicians, this role ensures safe operations and contributes to the functionality and efficiency of the warehouse through hands-on technical work and collaboration.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Leader:

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, including inspection, alignment, and replacement of sensors and conveyor control components such as connection modules and motorized rollers within the KDR system.
• Monitor and troubleshoot crane and shuttle ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) systems to ensure uninterrupted product flow, including adjustments to sensors, rails, crane masts, and shuttles.
• Conduct visual preventive maintenance inspections of conveyor systems, balers, and automated components, reporting abnormalities and initiating follow-up work orders using CMMS software.
• Inspect, disassemble, rebuild, set up, and reinstall sortation system carriers per Standard Operating Procedures, replacing springs, wheels, shock absorbers, and other components using go/no-go gauges.
• Perform routine maintenance on the corrugate baler machine, including inspections, wire replenishment, adjustments, and cleaning.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment such as drill presses, grinders, and band saws to complete various mechanical tasks and projects.
• Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs), including scissor lifts and articulating boom lifts, for tasks requiring work at elevated heights (certification required).
• Rebuild shuttle flaps, replace and track conveyor belts, and replace conveyor rollers as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures throughout maintenance and mechanical operations.
• Use human-machine interfaces (HMI) to monitor, troubleshoot, and control machinery and production systems.

Qualifications and Experience of Leader:

• Basic technical knowledge of material handling equipment (MHE) and warehouse automation systems.
• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities with effective time management skills.
• Ability to complete general maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, signage, and lighting repairs in a timely manner.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and ability to communicate equipment and process issues clearly.
• Proficient in using conveyor cameras and HMI workstations to maintain and support continuous product movement.
