Job Summary of Shuttle Truck Driver:

Be a part of the Sysco workforce and proficiently operate a tractor-trailer, ferrying sets of trailers between Sysco facilities and shuttle yards. Additional tasks may involve intermittent unloading and delivering various products to customer locations along an allocated route plan.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Shuttle Truck Driver:

• Drive a truck with multiple trailers to transport goods between Sysco facilities and shuttle yards.
• Inspect the vehicle both before setting off and after reaching your destination.
• Follow the rules and regulations of the road to ensure compliance with safety measures.
• Help with the handling of goods during loading and unloading operations.
• Keep accurate records concerning the delivery processes and the servicing of vehicles.
• Maintaining a high standard of customer service is crucial for delivery services.
• Coordinate efforts with teammates to ensure smooth operations.
• Consistent adherence to Sysco’s policies and procedures is required.

Qualifications and Experience of Shuttle Truck Driver:

• In order to purchase alcohol, one must be 21 years of age or older.
• Possesses an untarnished driving record and a valid Class A CDL license.
• Doubles/Triples Endorsement preferred.
• Capable of handling products weighing up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis by lifting, pushing, or moving them.
• Having prior exposure to commercial driving is a plus but not a prerequisite.
