Job Summary of Local Delivery Driver:
Drivers will establish positive relationships with customers and ensure their needs are met on an assigned route schedule.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Local Delivery Driver:
- Drive a big rig securely to transport items to customer locations as required.
- Undertake the manual unloading and distribution of a diverse range of goods, including meats, vegetables, frozen products, groceries, and dry items.
- Cultivate and uphold positive relations with clients through friendly conversations.
- Get acquainted with client workings to meet their needs and fulfill their expectations.
- Abide by the designated route timelines and deliver within the specified deadlines.
- Maintain a pristine driving history and comply with all traffic laws and rules.
- Ensure vehicles undergo pre-travel and post-travel inspections.
Qualifications and Experience of Local Delivery Driver:
- The minimum age requirement for this activity is 21 years and above.
- Satisfactorily pass both a background investigation and drug screening before starting a new job.
- Maintain a Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) that is valid and sustain a driving record free of infractions.
- Fluency in expressing oneself in English.
- Ability to lift, push, or move products weighing 40-60 pounds, and up to 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Acceptance of the need to work overtime and weekends, including holidays, as needed.
- Familiarity with customer delivery accumulated over a year.
- Well-versed in hand cart and hand truck tasks through six months of experience.
- A background of six months in Food and Beverage environments.
- Establishing a persistent work history lasting for a 24-month duration.
