Job Summary of Fiber Optic Technician:
You will play a vital role in connecting customers to the world’s most robust network. This position involves providing seamless installation and activation of high-speed broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services. As a trusted expert, you will work independently at customer locations, ensuring best-in-class service and support.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Fiber Optic Technician:
- Install and activate AT&T technology, including broadband, Wi-Fi, and voice services.
- Work independently in customer homes and businesses, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and handle equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring satisfaction with installed services.
- Work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Qualifications and Experience of Fiber Optic Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs.
- Comfortable working in small spaces and at heights up to 28 ft.
- Ability to identify wire and cable colors.
- Successful completion of pre-employment assessments.

Salary:
- Hourly wage: $12.80 - $29.06.
- Average starting annual earnings: $47,136.
