Job Summary of Local Truck Driver:

Sysco is currently hiring to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products in the warehouse and preparing them for shipping to customer locations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment are crucial for success in this position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of Local Truck Driver:

• Interpret client demands and pick out products in alignment with their designated slot and characteristics
• Build customer orders using items from stock and stack them systematically on pallets in the desired order
• Secure labels on products and operate electric pallet jacks to shift them to the dock for staging
• Treat products with care and communicate any damage or concerns to supervisors promptly
• Inspect equipment daily and assist with facility clean-up when necessary
• Employ fundamental communication skills to understand operational guidelines and work in harmony with team members
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and food safety policies and procedures

Qualifications and Experience of Local Truck Driver:

• An individual must be of 18 years or more
• This position is open to individuals without any prior experience
• Possesses the capability to handle and relocate products weighing up to 100 pounds
• Being able to work in extreme temperatures and stand for extended periods is a prerequisite
• Acquainted with the functions of electric pallet jacks and forklifts
• Those with backgrounds in warehouses, the military, or physically demanding jobs bring valuable experience
• A sustained work record is sought after

Salary:

The hourly pay for this job can fall between $10.00 and $48.00, subject to individual skills, experience, and other influencing factors.
