Job Duties and Responsibilities of Local Route Delivery Truck Driver:
- Drive a tractor-trailer safely to distribute a variety of products to customer sites following a designated route timetable.
- Familiarize yourself with and follow safety measures to guarantee the protection of yourself, your colleagues, and the items in transit.
- Establishing constructive relationships with clients and getting to know their operations are critical for consistently meeting their needs and exceeding their expectations.
- Before starting and after completing each trip, carefully inspect the vehicle to confirm its safe operation.
- Support in loading and unloading items as required, ensuring that the delivery process is executed with precision and effectiveness.
- Maintain precise records of deliveries, encompassing invoices, receipts, and logs.
Qualifications and Experience of Local Route Delivery Truck Driver:
- Those who have recently finished driving school are eligible to apply.
- Individuals need to be 21 years of age or older.
- Maintain an authentic CDL Permit.
- Proficiency in English language skills, including reading, writing, and communication.
- Capability to lift, push, or relocate products within the weight range of 40-60 pounds and occasionally handling loads that weigh up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to adapt schedule to accommodate overtime, weekend shifts, and holidays as requested.
- Being willing to enroll in a CDL-A training session and being away from home during the training period.
