Job Summary:

As a Staples Business to Business (B2B) Sales Associate, you will be responsible for prospecting and acquiring new small to medium business customers within a defined territory. Your role is crucial in expanding our customer base by identifying prospects, engaging them through various channels, and effectively communicating Staples' value propositions and product offerings. This high-velocity sales position requires proactive outreach and collaboration with internal teams to drive sales growth.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set appointments with decision-makers through effective appointment setting skills.
  • Utilize professional selling skills to identify and address prospects' needs and overcome objections.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as customer support and category specialists to progress deals.
  • Implement and ramp wins while ensuring compliance with new account programs.
  • Develop expertise in prospect industries to support product selection and standardization.
  • Create lasting relationships with customers to foster repeat business and account retention.
  • Integrate feedback from prospects to continuously improve sales strategies and approaches.
  • Communicate with prospects daily, both in person and virtually, maintaining a professional demeanor.

Qualifications and Experience: Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of successful sales experience or previous success as a Staples B2B Sales Associate.
  • 3+ years of experience in PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong drive, resilience, and a desire to win.
  • Proven ability to handle rejection and turn it into a learning opportunity.
  • Experience in business development and delivering effective presentations.
  • Consultative selling, negotiation, and client management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organization, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to succeed in a competitive environment and incorporate feedback for improvement.
