Millwright

Job Summary:

This will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, maintaining, and installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical production-related equipment in a high-speed metal packaging manufacturing facility. The individual will work with machinery such as bodymakers, printers, and washers, ensuring all systems meet operational standards. This role requires adherence to safety codes and maintaining detailed documentation of equipment problems and maintenance procedures. Additionally, the Millwright will assist in training and educating other team members on equipment operation and safety precautions.

Responsibilities:

• Interest in building and repairing a variety of mechanical systems.

• Knowledge of computerized machinery.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.
• Ability to visualize a layout by looking at plans.
• Experience with conveyor systems and their maintenance.
• Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, and maintain inventory and related documentation.
• Provide support and education, working with users to identify needs and determine sources of problems.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work to exacting standards and safety procedures.
• Ability to work at heights or in cramped spaces.
• Commitment to a safety-first mindset and responsible work attitude.
• Use of mathematical and mechanical abilities to analyze and resolve problems.
• Willingness to take on additional tasks as necessary for the plant's operation.

• Minimum of significant experience in operating production machines.

• Related work experience or technical training/school or technical degrees may substitute for required work experience.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift, including night shifts and weekends.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Preferred: Three (3) or more years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Preferred: High school diploma or GED.

The salary for this position will be competitive and based on experience. The company offers shift differentials for those working non-day shifts.
