Production Millwright

Job Summary:

You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment. This includes fabricating machinery, repairing production equipment, and ensuring safe and efficient operations within the plant. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Follow all plant safety rules and wear required PPE at all times.
• Ensure safe operation practices in all maintenance activities.
• Fabricate machinery and special items as needed.
• Repair manufacturing equipment including conveyors, pumps, and piping.
• Comply with environmental, health, safety, and housekeeping programs.
• Rebuild production equipment and systems.
• Perform welding and use cutting torches when necessary.
• Drill, tap holes, and visualize layouts from blueprints and technical specifications.
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems.
• Work at heights or in confined spaces as required.
• Display a high level of safety awareness and responsible work attitude.
• Work on various mechanical tasks as needed within the department and plant.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

• Significant experience in operating production machines and mechanical systems.
• Technical training or related work experience may substitute for required work experience.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods of time.

Preferred Requirements:

• Three (3) or more years of industrial maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).

Salary:

Competitive hourly wage based on experience. Overtime opportunities are available.
