Job Summary of CDL A Local Freight Driver:

Sysco is currently hiring to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting products in the warehouse and preparing them for shipping to customer locations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment are crucial for success in this position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities of CDL A Local Freight Driver:

• Examine client requests and decide on items according to their allocated position and attributes
• Gather products from the inventory and assemble them on pallets in the requested sequence for customer orders
• Label products and operate electric pallet jacks in transporting them to the dock area for staging
• Take care when handling merchandise and notify supervisors of any damage or concerns
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment on a daily basis while also aiding in maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility when required
• Apply basic communication skills to interpret job directives and engage in teamwork with fellow staff members
• Abide by all safety measures and guidelines for maintaining food safety standards

Qualifications and Experience of CDL A Local Freight Driver:

• An individual must be of 18 years or more
• Prior experience is not a must-have for this position
• Shows proficiency in transporting and lifting objects up to 100 pounds
• Flexibility in managing tasks in extreme heat or cold and standing for long periods is important
• Skilled operator of electric pallet jacks and forklifts
• Previous exposure to warehouse settings, the military, or physically demanding positions can be advantageous
• A sustained work record is sought after

Salary:
